Another year has come and gone and Eric is another year older. Here are some of the highlights of why I like to call him my hubby:

1. He's an awesome Daddy! His girls are top priority and he is a sucker for their little smiles. They get away with murder when he's around!
2. He's also a great husband. I'm very lucky to have such a good provider and caring man who takes his responsibilities seriously!
3. After he was born, the ducks and geese in Utah were put on the endangered species list (well, I might have made this one up, but you get the idea).
4. He's fun to tease!
5. He likes cruises (just like me) and so at least I know when we're old we'll have something in common!
6. He loves his family more than anything else.
7. He's got camping skills than put most mountain men to shame.
8. He makes a mean BBQ chicken.
9. He's an incredibly hard worker.
10. He's all mine.

Happy birthday, honey! I love you!

We Love The Wii!

Well, we finally gave in a bought a Wii. Actually, we did it a couple of months ago, but I just haven't gotten around to blogging in awhile. Haylie is already better at than Eric and I and she has absolutely no form! The girl can kill us at bowling and she doesn't even have a clue what she's doing-go figure!

We've also become quite attached to Guitar Hero! Soooo addicting! I have to really watch myself-if I'm not careful, I could play that all night. It's super fun! Once we get our entertainment center sold and get a bigger TV we'll definitely be having Wii game nights with our friends!

Bye Bye Binky!

I was beginning to think I'd have to have the silly thing surgically removed from Mikaela's mouth around the time she turned 10. She was practically borderline psychotic without the plug! But, after several (SEVERAL) failed attempts and thousands of not-so-thinly veiled threats (there goes my Mother of the Year award once again) I'm happy to announce that the binky has gone the way of the Dodo at our house! All I can say is, "It's about bloody time!"

I will admit that I didn't always do everything in my power to help speed the process along, in fact I probably hindered it more than I should have (hey, I value my sleep okay?) but it is nice not having to worry if we have the stupid thing "just in case" anymore. I'm just glad we went through the battle and all lived to tell about it! If I have another child I will have serious reservations about starting them on a binky. I don't know if I could do that again. Yikes!
