Eric went to NASCAR in Dallas, Texas over the weekend with his brother, BJ. Talk about a whirlwind trip. He flew out Saturday morning, went to the race on Sunday and was home Monday afternoon. It looks like they had a great time though, and at least they had better weather than we did.
Eric's brother, BJ standing next to what I like to call the "heartburn" car.
The boys trying out for the pit crew.
The Boys' birds-eye view of the track. They had a pretty good view of the whole thing.
Two very happy guys. I think it's safe to say they had a good time.

What Happens In Vegas...
Back in February (yeah, it's been awhile since I've really sat down to blog about anything) Eric and I took the girls down to Fabulous Las Vegas! Eric has a building conference in St. George every year at this time and so we usually go with him for the week and spend a day or two down in Vegas. This year was no exception.
We went to a casino/hotel off the strip called The Silverton. They also just happen to have a huge Bass Pro Shop attached to the hotel which certainly didn't break Eric's heart. Just inside the front entrance of the hotel is a gigantic aquarium, complete with mermaids. They only show up every few hours, so we hung around until Haylie and Mikaela could get their first glimpse at a real live mermaid. Haylie was completely enchanted, Mikaela wasn't as impressed.
As we were leaving the Silverton, we saw this car being pretty well guarded. I think it was a Lamborghini. Eric was instantly in love. I told him he might as well get his picture with it, since that was the closest we'd ever come to owning one.
Of course, no trip to Vegas is complete without a stop at the M&M store.
Eric especially liked the racing car, but we'll save the details for another blog.
We also made sure to stop in at the Coca-Cola store. I love their vintage stuff. If I ever finish my basement, I'll do a Coke-themed soda parlor!
Can't wait until next year!
