Love me some Lagoon!

Eric bought his girls Lagoon season passes this year (what a nice daddy) and we've already been putting them to good use. My friend Melanie and I take our kids down and enjoy the afternoon in the park watching the girls go on all the rides. It's been a fun investment and the girls are absolutely loving it. It's fun for me to just go and relax and play with them for a few hours each week. One of these nights Melanie and I will have to go have a "girls night out" and go on the fast, fun rides the kids can't do. Hmmmm....we need to do that soon!

Not so Plain City after all.

I just thought these pic's were pretty cool. This is the view we get from our deck when the rain storms come and go (I just wish the rainbow always came with them).

Patty O'Furniture, here...pleased to meet you!

The finished product

The fire pit is awesome!

Our backyard is still the dirt pit, but it has been improved slightly by the addition of our new patio! It will be awesome to have this summer since we probably won't have any grass until the fall. We've already tried out the fire pit and I must say, it's so much fun. Do you just love our pool cover? How ghetto are we? Haylie was always trying to sneak down the street to our neighbor's house to go swimming (without an invitation, mind you) and I decided that maybe we should just get a little kiddie pool for the girls to splash around in. I called Eric and asked him to pick up a "little pool" for the girls and this is what he comes home with-an 8 foot, 580 gallon pool. Well, at least they can't complain about not having enough water to play in.

Best Friends and Cookie Dough-Doh!

Haylie had Olivia over for some "girls day" fun and we all decided to make cookies. They both got to help measure and pour the ingredients. They also did quite a bit of "test tasting" before the finished product. I'm just glad they didn't get sick! Mikaela preferred to save her testing until the cookies were actually baked and judging by her face I'd say she quite enjoyed them. (Boy, if you look too fast at her pic, you'd think she was giving you the bird! Maybe that was her true opinion of the cookies?) :)

Preschool Graduation

Her teacher, Mrs. Pett.

Haylie graduated from Preschool on May 22nd! I can't believe how fast the last year has gone by. She absolutely loved preschool and her teacher, Mrs. Pett, was awesome! Eric and I were so proud to watch her march into the preschool room with her little black hat and tassel on and receive her "diploma". It was really cute. Her teacher had all the kids recite some of the different things they had learned during the year and then presented each of them with their own little scrapbook that she had compiled for each of them with pictures and some of their artwork. Haylie was pretty sad about having to say goodbye for the summer and also worried that she wouldn't be able to go again, but since her birthday is in January she'll miss the cutoff for school this fall, thus resulting in another fun filled year of preschool (I guess you could consider it the "graduate" school of preschool). She'll just be twice as smart when she finally hits Kindergarten.
