I gave up announcing my birthday after I turned 30. Actually, 29 would be more accurate. Honestly, I really don't look forward to my birthday, mostly because I know it means I'm getting older (but don't worry, I'm not any wiser than I was at 19). I really liked my twenties and that might have something to do with the fact that, although I got married pretty young, I really had no major responsibility for the majority of my twenties unlike most of my friends. Looking back, I'm grateful for the time and FUN I got to have being with just my husband and for the adventures we got to share together.
Since I don't usually get to do anything new or unusual for my birthday, I thought it was worth mentioning that I had my first In-N-Out burger at the ripe old age of 33! I cannot believe how crowded that dang place is. I thought it was pretty good, but not worth all the hype. However, considering that it's kind of a novelty where I live, I will say that I am happy to finally be able to say that I've had an In-N-Out burger. Happy birthday to me.
